Obituary

Scott Arthur Skjordahl was born in Chicago on May 19, 1944, to Arthur (deceased) and Mildred Skjordahl. His cause of death was acute myeloid leukemia which was diagnosed 3 weeks prior to his passing on May 11, 2017. Scott received his MBA in 1968 from the Kellogg School of Northwestern University. Scott was a securities analyst, a franchise owner of 6 McDonald’s restaurants, the founder of Youth Leadership Jacksonville, a mediator for county, circuit civil, family, and appellate courts, and an adjunct professor at the University of Phoenix. Scott also hosted a local radio talk show and was an author. He held leadership positions in several organizations. Scott was a member of Palms Presbyterian Church and attended Chets Creek Church. His passions were flying, teaching, and magic. His survivors include his wife of 50 years, Judy, and daughters Jennifer Stanton, Amy VanMersbergen, and Ashley Skjordahl, his mother Mildred Skjordahl and brother Jeff Skjordahl. He was Papa to Katie, Sarah, and Skye. Donations in Scott’s name may be made to the .
